Funkstronaut Productions is back at River Street Jazz Cafe for our third annual Memorial Day Weekend rager with none other than resident jamtronica powerhouse Microcave, as well as the NEPA debut of an incredible act out of the Philadelphia area, Blendmode, with local DJ superhero Newpy Hundo on the opening and set break duties.

MICROCAVE:
Microcave is a four-piece jamtronica band based out of Long Island/NYC. With a heavy focus on improvisation in between hard-hitting compositions, you never know what’s in store when you step into the Cave!
From NYC to Philadelphia (and beyond), Microcave has garnered an organic fanbase of jam seekers, affectionately known as Cave Dwellers, since 2018. To date, the band has released one full length studio album, “A Small Compromise”, as well as numerous live recordings, perhaps most notably the debut performance of an original rock opera, “The Mistic Village”.

NEWPY HUNDO:
Newpy Hundo is a Northeastern Pennsylvania based DJ with a focus on underground dance music. Known to spin only the most-choice selections of many genres, including but not limited to, breaks, disco, downtempo, drum and bass, dubstep, house, garage, and techno. A true lover of music, he’s made his way through the tri-state by DJing at parties, opening up for touring acts and throwing down renegade sets at music festivals. Newpy has been steadily working at his craft for well over five years, continuously adding new music to his arsenal. After winning a DJ mix contest to perform at Camp Bisco in 2015, he gained fans in both New York City and Philadelphia. Using his DJ career to take things to the next level, he created Funkstronaut Productions and Satellite Ranch Music Festival.
