Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentlemen: When Blues Meets Rock N Roll

Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentlemen is the premier power blues-rock trio in Northeastern Pennsylvania today. DDEG captures the blues vibe created in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s by mixing the groovy tunes that made Jim Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and ZZ Top famous with good ole rock ‘n’ roll.

Who is Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentlemen?

The band is led by electrifying lead guitarist/singer/songwriter Dustin Douglas. Beginning his career at the age of 13, Douglas first gained popularity with his original power trio Lemongelli. The band released three records independently and shared the stage with such music legends as Heart, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard, and Eddie Money. He joined rock band The Badlees where he recorded “Epiphones and Empty Rooms.” Douglas also supported Bob Seger in his 2013 arena tour.

In 2014, Douglas released his first solo record “Black Skies and Starlight.” Described as “a mix of big guitars, with pop-laced hooks and an alternative attitude,” his debut album propelled Douglas back into the spotlight as lead singer.

He returned to his blues-rock roots and — with band members Tommy Smallcomb on drums and Matt “The Dane” Gabriel on bass — released the self-titled debut record from Dustin Douglas & the Electric Gentlemen, selling out in its first pressing.

In 2017, the band released its second album, “Blues 1,” a collection of classic blues covers from legendary greats as John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, and Albert King along with an original song.

In June 2018, the band released “Break It Down,” to worldwide rave reviews. Co-produced with Paul Smith, the album features 12 new tracks. It has been on the Top 20 Roots Music Report Blues Rock Album Charts and the Top 10 Pennsylvania Album Charts since its release. It has received international airplay in both Europe and Canada.

DDEG has been nominated for three Steamtown Music Awards – Album of the Year, Blues Artist of the Year, and Guitarist of the Year.
